June VHF Contest 2013

 

NI6E, K6EPP and AF6RT operated from DM23
South of Joshua Tree National Park
6m antenna - M2 6M5XHP at 20 feet
2m antenna - 11 elements at 13 feet

Computer logging was difficult due to bright sunlight on the screen
An 8 watt string of LED Christmas tree lamps around the pop-up frame did not attract bugs at night
A 20 watt halogen desk-lamp attracted swarms.
